NZ School of Radio have a Scholarship available to attend the NZ School of Radio in Tauranga for Semester 2, 2018 which starts on Monday, July 30th (conditions apply)

They would like to offer this Scholarship exclusively to young Maori as they would like to encourage more Maori youth to get into the industry. This is also a strong government initiative. 

The scholarship will allow you to study Radio Broadcasting for 20 weeks, which will involve On-air Announcing, Copy Writing, Sound Engineering, Promotions, Sales, News & TV Presenting. You will have the opportunity to get hands-on work experience at the local Iwi station ‘Moana Radio’ whom we have a great relationship with as well as network stations in Tauranga, Hamilton and Auckland. 

After 20 weeks of study and if you’re successful in passing the course you will receive the following qualifications:

National Certificate in Radio (Foundation Skills)
NZ School of Radio (In House) – Diploma in Commercial Broadcasting

The Scholarship offered is valued at $8050 which will cover your course fees.
